Libraries 2.0

WOW, there is a lot to learn and remember, it looks like long term libraries will have to reallocate time on a daily basis to 2.0 to ensure staff confident and upto date with all the applications.

week 6 tagging with Technorati

I am in the process of recording all of Stonnington's blogs as favorites in Technorati.They are tagged as library related. I have also checked out del.icio.us but as I rarely use the internet, and really don't have any favourites in particular I have not set up any tags at this point

Rolling with Rollyo

I have just created my first rollyo scroll. I have registered a selection of/theme/activity based sites to help with my preperation for storytime.

Library thing

I really enjoyed library thing. I think it is a fantastic way to catalogue the titles you have read and enjoyed(or not) and to be able to share your views with other readers of similar tastes is something I am sure many people apprieciate. I would love to see the library get involved with this. We could create a Stonnington group and have interested borrowers join up and compare their books, likes, dislikes etc.

Archive Shmarchive

Definition of an Archive. archives, a place where public records or other historical documents are kept. Maybe someone should inform the creator of blogger. After sending my old posts to what I thought would be the archive, I discovered I had actually deleted them, and that the archive was nothing more than a list of the posts on the blog. Should this not be called a list of posts or something similar, with an actual archive available to move old posts to?Oh well atleast I discovered something new!

Feeding the feeds

Have put feeds on. 11 in total. Then I discovered my links, seems to be a much quicker way of having direct links to websites.Q. Are feeds supposed to offer something else I am missing or is offering me the same function, just with an extra step?A. When logged into bloglines you are promted each time an update is made to the websites registered.

love flikr, love big huge labs (so many things to play with) love the way you can create an image in big huge lab, save it to flikr and then send it straight to your blog account, all with the click of a button. Lucky I don't have broadband at home this couldbecome very addictive.
